Putting a face to the role
SEG’s committee is made up of volunteers, each with their own set of skills that they bring to the table, offering their time and passion to our club so our members can have the best experience. It takes a village to keep all the cogs turning at SEG and those who currently serve on the committee in 2026 and all those who have since the club’s commencement have contributed in their own unique and valued way to make SEG what it is today.

Hi, I’m Justine. Horses have always been my happy place! I’ve been fortunate to ride some talented horses in both dressage and working equitation, experiences that have taught me so much and deepened my passion for these disciplines. I love the partnership, adventure, and continual learning that horses bring, and I’m grateful to be part of the wonderful SEG community.

Hi, I’m Em, I am loving my role as the Jumping Coordinator at SEG. I am lucky enough that horses are my career and have taken me all over the world in a professional capacity. I am very passionate about sharing the joy that our horses bring us and how fortunate we are to be able to enjoy them as we do.
Angela Murchison
Clinic Coordinator
Hi I’m Angela. I have had a deep love of horses since I was a little girl and have been fortunate to share my passion with my children, who are now both skilled horse women. I have a keen interest in horse welfare and the process of horse training that focuses on both the horses‘ physical and mental development. My role in Seg is to organise educational clinics across a broad range of areas to help provide members with ongoing opportunities to further their knowledge and skills in a supportive environment.
Ivanka Menken

While I didn’t start riding until I was 12, from that moment on I was hooked! I always rode other people’s horses, until I moved to Highvale and we had room for our own horses. I love looking after horses, learning from them and riding them. But after 25+ years of having horses, I now realise they are 3 different hobbies! During a hiatus in my competition life, I started my journey as a dressage judge and I love the learnings I get from each of you when you enter at A for your dressage test!
I would like to be back competing again soon with my beautiful mares Willow and Cookie, hopefully next year.

Brooke Murchison
Junior Representative
Hey there! I’m Brooke, and it’s safe to say horses have well and truly taken over my life. I’m a keen young event rider and found my jam when I started coaching this year. I’m pretty ambitious, but also a big believer that we’re here to enjoy our horses and have fun as it’s easy to get caught up in competing. I’m always keen to try something new and see where it takes me… which is probably how I ended up on this committee. I’m proud to be part of SEG and hopefully give back some of the support and encouragement I was lucky enough to grow up with.
Louise Coulson

Hi, I’m Louise. I am slowly getting back into horses after a long break. I ride an OTT Standardbred, and we are currently working on improving our dressage scores. I love the supportive environment at SEG, which caters for people of all riding levels and almost all disciplines.

Hi, I’m Shannon, and horses are my happy place when I’m not teaching in the classroom. This year, I’ve taken on the role of Membership Coordinator and have loved putting names to faces when I’m out and about at the SEG.

Hi, I’m Kylie. While I’m not a rider myself, horses have been a big part of our family life for many years through supporting my daughter, who competes in dressage at FEI level. Along the way, I’ve gained a real appreciation for the dedication, friendships and sense of community that come with equestrian sport. I’m very happy to be able to contribute to SEG from the sidelines as Secretary and to be part of such a welcoming and supportive equestrian community.
Richard Scott
Working Equitation Coordinator
Hi, I’m Richard. I’ve been involved in SEG for many years and riding Working Equitation since 2018. I love the variety of WE and the partnership it develops between horse and rider, and the supportive community surrounding it. As SEG’s Working Equitation Coordinator, I enjoy helping riders discover the discipline, develop their skills and have fun along the way. I enjoy supporting SEG’s training days and competitions and helping Working Equitation continue to grow within our club.
Niqui Branchu

Hi, I’m Niqui. I’ve always loved horses and started riding at eight, spending my early years doing gymkhanas and jumping while thinking dressage was about as much fun as eating vegetables. After a 20-year break, I returned to riding as my ‘mum doing something for herself’ moment — or my midlife crisis, as it’s otherwise known. Fourteen years on, I now love dressage (and vegetables!). I feel privileged to be part of the SEG community and have made lifelong friends here – living my best life amongst great people and horses.
