Another smashingly successful Members Fun Day this September
read the wrap up from our Coordinator extraordinaire.
And that is what SEG is all about! Friendships, fun and horses, not necessarily in that order. It was a challenging day given a heat wave at the start of spring, well at least it wasn’t raining. What stood out was that those who did withdraw their horses still turned up to help with their allocated jobs. As a coordinator it is this and the smiles of those there that make it all worth it when unplannable events like this happen. Thank you to EVERY participant and helper on the day, including the amazing team from ‘Life with Horses’ who came to run a canteen when hot coffee and sausage sandwiches were the last thing on most people’s minds. We have decided to hold off the raffle until next event in October given the fabulous prizes and tickets sold – thank you for your understanding. Onwards and upwards… what do we try next in October? We have a surprise! Over the next week we will give all the details however as a teaser we will break up the disciplines over Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday morning. This way riders can “do it all” and mark up your calendars for Saturday afternoon/evening also for a sausage sizzle and some entertainment. Mark up your diaries for 17/18 Oct lunchtime to lunchtime.
